Sugar flowers

Last weekend I've made sugar flowers with my mother. We did a workshop about it.. It all started with making this cute rose, after that we've made some other flowers. After making a part of your rose or a cute little flower they had to dry up side down. Once the flowers were dried, we had to paint them. Mom chose pastel colours and I went for bright colours. We've worked for four hours on our little bouquets and I'm happy with the results :)

French macarons

Today I've made French macarons, this was my second attempt. I must say it was much better than my first. Although they are not perfect and I will probably try to make some more soon, I did wanted to share my French macarons with you ! But they where delicious!

Oke lets start looking at the perfect macaron:

As you can see , they are nice and smooth. Cute like circles with a cream between them.

Now lets look at mine!

These are my macarons:

Before they went into the oven they had to wait 30 minutes.



After those 30 minutes they whent into the oven for 18 minutes. The house completely smelled like macarons !



After that I filled them with ganache and then they where ready to be eaten.



As you can see, mine dont really look like the perfect macarons yet, but I'm getting there. It gives me an excuse to try them again.
